WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Creating a Portfolio for our Images!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Portfolios are a great way to demonstrate the competencies and accomplishments you would list on a resume or talk about in an interview – they allow you to show, not just tell. Your portfolio helps you showcase your proven work to potential employers and of course to your friends and family!
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will create a portfolio through Adobe Express and add to it with EACH ASSIGNMENT!
Creative Cloud on Desktop!
Click the Creative Cloud Icon on your DESKTOP to go to your Adobe Creative Cloud Apps!
On the Right,
click BUILD A WEBPAGE
In the Webpage Template pop up...
On the bottom RIGHT, click CREATE FROM SCRATCH
Be patient! It might take a moment!
On the TOP left...click Untitled
Name your file: your First name Last name PORTFOLIO
Let's begin!
In the Center, click Add a Title
Change the large text in the middle to your First name Last name
Change the subtitle to PORTFOLIO
Click on the gray area in the background
In the Image panel pop up, select PHOTO
On the left, click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE
This PC>Desktop>
Photography>Abstractions
Select ONE of the JPG files you turned in as your abstractions image (on Teams)
Click OPEN
PUBLISHING YOUR PORTFOLIO!
Before we move on, we need to do a little housekeeping.
On the TOP RIGHT, click the SHARE button.
Select PUBLISH TO WEB.
Publish Options...
Title should be your
First Name Last Name PORTFOLIO
Under AUTHOR toggle the button right
Your first and last Name should be in the box.
Click CREATE LINK
Wait for it to PUBLISH!
When the link is ready...
Click the COPY button
On the Form...
Question #2 is where you will PASTE (ctrl + V) the link you copied!
Tip! the link will start with: https://new.express.adobe.com/webpage/xxx
With EACH assignment you will need to add your photos to your portfolio AFTER turning them in on Teams... and PUBLISH again!

Let's continue to build!
On the TOP RIGHT, click the Themes Icon (magic wand).
Now on the left you can scroll through and click on a theme.
This will set your fonts and styles for your portfolio
Click X to close the Themes box
Click the (+) under the image
In the Pop up dialog box, choose TEXT
Select the text:
Choose H1 and Center text:
Type to ABOUT ME
Also click the CENTER icon to center the text
Under ABOUT ME, click the (+) and select TEXT
For the Body copy type a paragraph about yourself!
Where do you go to school?
What grade you are in?
What you enjoy about photography class?
Tip: the font should default to the body copy of your theme...no need to change it!
In the Pop up dialog box, choose Glideshow
You can also choose Split Layout. But you must add photos one by one. (same idea...add photo, title and description)
ON the left, click UPLOAD FROM DEVICE
On the bottom right, click OPEN
Once uploaded, the top right, click SAVE
You might have to Upload the images one at a time! Click Upload, then choose one. Let it load. Then click upload for the next image.
You will notice on the left a white box with a (+)
Click the (+) and select TEXT
(TIP: "Abstract" should be in the title)
Click the (+) and select TEXT
Under the title you just created, click the (+) and select TEXT
This is where the description of the image will go!
Write a paragraph about your photo.
What is the image of?
Why did you take THIS photo?
What makes it Abstract?
Do the same process for the next 2 images!
Add a title
Add a decription (write a paragraph)
RE-PUBLISHING YOUR PORTFOLIO!
On the TOP RIGHT, click the Preview Icon (eye) to view your portfolio website.
Click the X on the top right to return to edit mode.
On the TOP RIGHT, click the SHARE button.
Select PUBLISH OPTIONS.
Publish Options...
Click
REPUBLISH
Every time you add to your portfolio you need to REPUBLISH to make the changes live!
Wait for it to REPUBLISH!
With EACH assignment you will need to add your photos to your portfolio AFTER turning them in on Teams... and PUBLISH again!

Ctrl+Alt+Delete then select SIGN OFF!
