How to!
Adobe Premiere Pro!
The contents should NOT be separated!
This will save the file to your Videography (or downloads) folder!
Zip files typically will not show you the contents (but there are exceptions!)
This will save the file to your Videography (or downloads) folder!
Select EXTRACT ALL
*Files will now be a folder in your Videography folder!
Folder should be named: Objective_OTF
Let's install the fonts!
With the Objective_OTF folder open...
Select ALL the files
(ctrl +A)
Right Click over one of the files (they are still ALL selected)
Click INSTALL!
Let's open Adobe Premiere Pro!
At the bottom of your screen click in the search bar and tyep PREMIERE.
Then click on the Adobe Premiere ICON or Click OPEN
Since we began a project it should be in the list (click on it!) or we can select OPEN PROJECT and navigate to our project!
Shortcut: You can also press Alt+Shift+7
Click Window tab on top
Select WORKSPACE
Select EFFECTS
Adding the Lower third!
On the right, click GRAPHICS TEMPLATES tab
To Add a Motion Graphics Template:
Click the icon that looks like a box with a +
Go to your Videography folder to find the
Select the LT07 file
Click OPEN
Now, Drag it FROM the GRAPHICS Templates to the timeline above the clip we want to add a lower third to!
Be patent while it loads!
In the timeline, select the graphic (LT07)
On the left, Open EFFECT CONTROLS
We need to resize the effect!
Under fx Motion:
Open the SCALE >
Move the slider to 37
The graphic should be on your clip now!
In the timeline, with the graphic (LT07) still selected...
In the Properties Panel on the right we can now change the text (Name and Position)
Change the Name to the person's First Name
Change the Surname to the person's Last Name
Change the Position to
Hoover Student (or what their position actually is!)
Once you have changed the name and position we need to shorten the graphic clip...
Move the Blue Play head to about 4 or 5 seconds
Using the RAZOR tool (C), click on the graphic in the Timeline where the play head is now and click where the line shows.
You should now have 2 clips
Select the move tool (arrow) and select the second clip of the graphic and press DELETE on the keyboard.
Select the first part of the graphic and select copy (Ctrl + C)
Ctrl + V to paste the graphic again
With the second (shortened) graphic clip selected...
Right click it and select SPEED DURATION
Then click to check REVERSE SPEED
This should make the graphic now enter and exit!
