WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Writing "A letter to My Future Self"
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Acts as a source of motivation and encouragement: Reading your past ambitions and positive words can provide a powerful boost, especially during challenging times.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: Today you will write a letter to the future YOU and submit it on Teams!
A letter to you future self is a message written today that you will read at a future time. It helps you reflect on your current thoughts, dreams and goals.
This letter serves as a time capsule of who you are today and how you are trying to grow!
Broad vs. Actionable Goals
What is a BROAD GOAL?
A general overarching aim without specific details on how to achieve it.
Example: "Get better at basketball"
What is a ACTIONABLE GOAL?
A specific, measurable objective with clear steps and a timeline for achieving it.
Example: "Practicing dribbling for 20 minutes everyday after school"
How to set ACTIONABLE GOALS
Identify a broad goal
Break it into smaller parts
Set deadlines for each task
